When you join the University of Bedfordshire, you don't just join the University - you also become a member of Bedfordshire Students' Union (Beds SU)!

We are here to help every student get the most out of their university experience. We campaign on issues that you care about, as well as provide lots of opportunities for you to meet new people, develop your skills, campaign for change and try something new!

Advice

In order to make sure your voice is heard throughout the year we rely on student representatives.

We have elected student representatives for different communities within the University to make sure we represent everyone.

You can become a student leader for any of the communities you are a part of.

Beds SU has two fantastic venues available – The Metro in Luton and The Hub in Bedford. Both venues were recently refurbished in a modern, rustic style.

Beds SU wants to hear your opinion on student access to employment opportunities and fair wages - in simple terms, we think the University of Bedfordshire should commit to providing more employment opportunities for students, as well as commit to paying at least the Real Living Wage to all staff (which differs from the National Minimum Wage as it takes into account the cost of living). Come to this 1 hour discussion event via Zoom to provide your thoughts on this policy proposal, or if you have any ideas you'd like to add about how the UoB can help student employment conditions and outcomes...
