When you join the University of Bedfordshire, you don't just join the University - you also become a member of Bedfordshire Students' Union (Beds SU)!

We are here to help every student get the most out of their university experience. We campaign on issues that you care about, as well as provide lots of opportunities for you to meet new people, develop your skills, campaign for change and try something new!

Advice

In order to make sure your voice is heard throughout the year we rely on student representatives.

We have elected student representatives for different communities within the University to make sure we represent everyone.

You can become a student leader for any of the communities you are a part of.

Beds SU has two fantastic venues available – The Metro in Luton and The Hub in Bedford. Both venues were recently refurbished in a modern, rustic style.

Monday 3rd Feb - Sun 9th Feb 2025 is Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness week.

The aim of this campaign is to highlight and challenge the issues of sexual abuse and violence by encouraging safe discussions, challenge unsafe societal norms, stereotypes and misconceptions.

The Beds SU Advice service will be facilitating awareness stalls this week where advice staff will be on hand to discuss, highlight and promote options of support available to students, both within the University and with external services.

The idea of this is to empower students to know their options of what help is available if they are a survivor of sexual abuse and/or violence. We would also like to encourage all students to individually challenge and educate themselves on the matter to be positive allies in this campaign against harm.

We want our students to know that Beds SU stands against Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence and stands with survivors.
