Advanced notice: Advice Service Closure Over the Christmas Break

Our Beds SU Advice Service will be closed for the Christmas break from 12:00 on Wednesday 18 December 2024. This means we will not be reading or responding to e-mails during this time. Sometimes we receive a high volume of e-mails prior to the Christmas break and our team works hard to respond where possible. However it may be that we cannot answer all queries received before we close for the Christmas break.

If you do contact us during this time, please be aware that we will get back to you upon our return to the office on Monday 6th January 2025, in the New Year. During our Christmas closure, this will mean our Community Pantry provisions will not be accessible also.

Our last Advice drop-in session before the Christmas break will be held Monday 16th December 10am-12pm. Do come and see us if you require advice before we break up.

We understand that students may still need help and support over the Christmas break, therefore we would advise that you check out our Knowledge Hub Base that provides articles of support regarding a number of academic, housing and signposting subject matters you may find useful, including alternative external support services (including emotional support, mental health, domestic abuse, medical, food bank and emergency service and community information) that are available during our closure.

Advice drop-in sessions until 18 December

Mondays: 10am-12pm (in person Luton/online)

Tuesdays: 1pm-3pm (in person Luton/online)

Wednesdays: 10am-12pm (in person Luton/online)

How can we help?

We provide impartial, confidential advice on all aspects of university life. We work independently from the university and are there to empower all University of Bedfordshire students. We are also well networked with local organisations in the community to signpost you to if we cannot help directly.

We can support students with; academic disputes, housing, health & wellbeing, finance, safety matters, student conduct & complaints.
