From small acts of support and kindness to standout achievements, Beds SU Awards season is the time to pause and recognise those who have gone above and beyond in all forms at the University.
It's a time to shine a spotlight on devoted students and members of staff, from the passionate individuals to groups who have taken their time to support the student community, here at the University of Bedfordshire.

Nominations are open from Monday 16 February until 4pm Thursday 26 February and our awards celebrations will take place on Wednesday 25 March, 5pm, in the Metro Bar on our Luton Campus.

The Awards
Society of the Year
This award is to recognise a society that has excelled in creating an inclusive and engaging environment for its members. This society has also clearly provided a range of engaging opportunities for its members and maybe even the wider community. Nominate now
Academic Rep of the Year
This award is split into three sub-categories: Technologies, Education and Social Sciences |Health, Community and Life Sciences| University of Bedfordshire Business School.
This award is to recognise a student who has devoted their time to the representation of students. Their contribution has led to a positive impact on the student experience and their passion has engaged and empowered students to ensure their voice is heard. Nominate now
Staff Member of the Year
This award recognises the amazing UoB or Beds SU staff member who has gone out of their way to make the University experience better for students. From the cleaner that may have helped students out to the inspirational academic staff member. Nominate now
Student Leader Award
This award is to recognise a student or group that has gone the extra mile to ensure awareness of specific issues. This student or group has dedicated their time to positively impact the University or the wider community. Their organisation and commitment helping students has stood out from the crowd and led to inspiring positive behaviour amongst students. Nominate now
Student Advocate of the Year
Beds SU has hundreds of students who represent the different communities of students here at UoB. Diversity, caring for the environment, sustainability and representation is hugely important and this award recognises the students who have gone above and beyond to foster communities of students. Volunteer of the Year
We know that many of our students have been volunteering to help those in need. This award recognises students who have given up their time to help others, whether that’s at university, in their local community, or beyond. Nominate now
Student Staff of the Year
This award category will be awarded to a Beds SU Student Staff member based on one or more of the following criteria; that has shown dedication and commitment to their role within Beds SU; that has exceeded the expectations of the role and deliver high quality work; that has positively impacted the work of Beds SU.
