When you join the University of Bedfordshire, you don't just join the University - you also become a member of Bedfordshire Students' Union (Beds SU)!

We are here to help every student get the most out of their university experience. We campaign on issues that you care about, as well as provide lots of opportunities for you to meet new people, develop your skills, campaign for change and try something new!

Advice

In order to make sure your voice is heard throughout the year we rely on student representatives.

We have elected student representatives for different communities within the University to make sure we represent everyone.

You can become a student leader for any of the communities you are a part of.

Beds SU has two fantastic venues available – The Metro in Luton and The Hub in Bedford. Both venues were recently refurbished in a modern, rustic style.

It seems some time has passed since you, our membership elected the students you believe would best represent your needs this coming academic year. The training and inductions are done, and our previous officers have now handed over the mantle to the next cohort of Sabbatical Officers.

The team is made up of four officers as follows:

Two Co-Presidents:

Chidinma Akwada (Self-identifying Woman)
Ryan Murphy (self-identifying Male/Non-binary), who is returning to the officer team, but in a new role.

Two Co-Vice Presidents:

Mina Awal (Self-identifying Woman)
Chidera Umeh (Self-identifying Male/Non-binary)
