Our offices will be open on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays ONLY from week commencing 29 June to week commencing 24 August. We will also be closed Monday 31 and Tuesday 1 September, reopening from Wednesday 2 September.
Please be aware that there will be no staff available onsite or online on Thursdays and Fridays during this period. However, the university services are available on the days we are off. Fine more information regarding their opening days and hours on the UoB website or your Beds Life App. This includes The Student Information Desk (SID) and International Student Office.
For additional support, our website contains a wide range of useful information and resources. You can also contact us via email - help@bedssu.co.uk. We aim to respond to all enquiries within seven working days.
Advice and support
Our Advice Team is committed to providing high-quality support to students, ensuring they receive the guidance and assistance they need throughout their university journey.
Students can continue to book online appointments through our Advice page on the Beds SU Website.
In addition to one-to-one support, the team has developed over 100 online resources and FAQs covering a wide range of topics, including academic appeals, accommodation, wellbeing, and mental health.
Appointments are available both online and in person in August from Mondays – Wednesdays only. Please ensure that you book an appointment in advance, as we are unable to accommodate students who attend without a prior booking.
Community Pantry
Please note from week commencing 29 June and throughout August, the Community Pantry will operate on a request-only basis, with availability limited to Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
The Metro
The Metro is currently closed for the summer period and will reopen on Monday 14 September.

From September, The Metro's standard opening hours will be Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00. Any changes to opening days or hours will be communicated through our website.
The hub
The hub will remain closed throughout the summer and is scheduled to reopen on Sunday 14 September. Please check our website for updates on upcoming events and activities taking place at The Hub.
