Up Next: Campus Rep Election 23/24!

Become a campus rep for your campus and work on improving YOUR campus experience. Nominations open on 20 April, with voting following shortly on 4 May.

Do you want to create positive change on your campus and enhance your and other students' experiences? Well, why not stand to become a Campus Rep!

Every year, Beds SU offers students the opportunity to represent their own campus for the upcoming academic year within each of the following campuses:

  • Luton
  • Bedford
  • London Bridge
  • Birmingham
  • Milton Keynes
  • Aylesbury

What’s it all about? Well, it’s a voluntary position where you can have a positive impact on your campus. You will be getting feedback from your fellow students, and work on getting positive changes on campus. This may be by doing events, improving facilities, or working with other student groups and working with this year’s Executive Officers.

A quote from our current Milton Keynes Rep said:

“I have loved being the campus representative for the last 2 years, I have actively taken part in meetings with my fellow students and attended meetings with staff. I have gained some excellent campus specific discounts for students. It has helped me with confidence and public speaking skills. It is important to get students involved and engaged with the university. I have made some great contacts within the University.”

You will be supported by Student Union staff and offered relevant training where you can gain new skills or develop those you have already, enhancing your CV.

Deadline to self-nominate is Wednesday 3 May at 4 PM. You can only nominate for the campus you are based at (e.g., London Bridge students will only be able to stand for London Bridge Rep).

Students on your campus will then be able to choose the student they wish to represent them between Thursday 4 May 12PM and Monday 15 May 4 PM.

To self-nominate, you need to:

  1. Log in to the website using your standard UoB login,
  2. Click your profile name on the top right of the page,
  3. Go to 'Election' dashboard,
  4. Select 'Campus Rep Election 23/24',
  5. Choose the campus you are based in and nominate yourself!

We will be using a Single Transferrable Voting system. Students will be able to select those relating to their individual campus (e.g., Luton student will only choose Luton Campus candidates).
