Yesterday saw the prestigious Beds SU Student Awards 2024 take place at a gala ceremony in the Metro Bar and Kitchen on the Luton Campus. The event was attended by over 90 people and included a food and drinks reception.
An incredible 348 nominations were made by our student community and these were whittled down to deliver shortlists for each of the seven categories. The Student Scrutiny Committee then had the difficult and unenviable task of choosing a winner in each category.
Chairperson of the Scrutiny Committee, Ryan Murphy, said,
‘The standard of entries this year was incredible and it was almost impossible to choose a winner. The eventual winners showed just a little bit extra but in the eyes of the committee, everyone who received a nomination deserves huge credit.”.
