When you join the University of Bedfordshire, you don't just join the University - you also become a member of Bedfordshire Students' Union (Beds SU)!

We are here to help every student get the most out of their university experience. We campaign on issues that you care about, as well as provide lots of opportunities for you to meet new people, develop your skills, campaign for change and try something new!

Advice

In order to make sure your voice is heard throughout the year we rely on student representatives.

We have elected student representatives for different communities within the University to make sure we represent everyone.

You can become a student leader for any of the communities you are a part of.

Beds SU has two fantastic venues available – The Metro in Luton and The Hub in Bedford. Both venues were recently refurbished in a modern, rustic style.

And with that, the 2023 edition of the Beds SU Awards has come to a close. It was great to see the Metro packed with so many people getting involved to celebrate the accomplishments within our student community. We had representatives from all over the student community coming to share the evening with us, special shout out to our members from Birmingham who made the trip down to celebrate. Thank you to all that came and to everyone that tuned in online.

We received over 200 nominations from the community, beating the 200 nominations mark for the second year in a row, showcasing the number of students and staff who were so enthused with recognising the great work going on within our student community.

Last Thursday, 25th May, we celebrated this year's winners and those who were also highly commended in an early evening ceremony at the Metro, Luton campus. It was great to see so many people join us and celebrate all of the achievements.
