Student discounts

If you are prepared to shop around, you can always find deals and being a student you may have access to cheaper products and services. Have a look at our Student Discount page to see what’s on offer.

Saving on transport

If you drive to Uni, you’ll know that recent world events have led to the price of fuel increasing. You can check out the cheapest prices near you by clicking on this link 

There are also discounts to be had if you use public transport. See what’s available on the trains

Community Pantry

For students who are in food crisis or do not have food available to them, for a short term solution you can arrange to visit either of our Community Pantries.

Luton - attend an online triage session or drop in to G004 10:00-16:00 Monday to Friday.

Bedford – contact the Treehouse on the Bedford Campus 

Set a budget

An important part of saving money is working out exactly what you need to spend each month. There will always be ways of trimming down your outgoings but unless you know what they are, you’ll often get a nasty surprise!

Get a part-time job

Some extra income can help you navigate any financially difficult times. The University has a Careers and Employability Service who can help prepare you for the world of work and give you the tools to find a job.

General support

The Students’ Union provides impartial, confidential advice on all aspects of university life. We work independently from the University and are also well networked with local organisations in the community to signpost you to if we cannot help directly.

We can support students with; academic disputes, housing, health & wellbeing, finance, safety matters, student conduct & complaints.
