Please Note: In order to be eligible for these roles, you must have been a registered student at the University of Bedfordshire (UoB) on a course starting before 04 October 2025 AND on 13 March 2026 when voting closes.

Student Campaigns Lead

£24,760 per year salary (paid monthly) | Full-Time | Offices on Luton Campus

The Student Campaigns Lead positions are open to all University of Bedfordshire (UoB) students, in any year of study. If elected, you will be required to take a year out from your studies but you can also take on this position if you are about to graduate. In return, you will have a unique chance to take on a full-time, paid job (£24,760 pa), right at the heart of Beds SU. 

The two Student Campaigns Lead positions play a critical role in gathering student feedback on the issues and ideas that matter to them, raising awareness amongst the wider student body and presenting them to leading figures within the University, including the Vice-Chancellor, to push for change.

You will be supported, mentored and offered training throughout your year in office by a team of dedicated, experienced professionals across the SU.

  • £24,760 annual salary 
  • 43 days leave, comprising 20 annual days, 14 SU closure days, 8 UK Bank holidays, set by UK public holidays and a day off for your birthday
  • Up to 10 days away from the office to volunteer 
  • Avg 37 hours working week: 3 per week July-August, 5 days per week September - June. Approx 9 hours per day with breaks

Student Champion (Faculty) Roles

£13.45 per hour | Part-Time (12-18 hours per week) | Offices on Luton and Bedford Campus

There are three part-time roles available, one in each of our three faculties. The positions are open to all University of Bedfordshire students, in any year of study and you carry out the role alongside your studies. It's a unique chance to take on a position right at the heart of Beds SU working with your Faculty. 

The three part-time roles will play a critical role in gathering student feedback on the issues and ideas that matter to them and the Faculty, presenting them to leading figures within the Faculty to advocate for change.

1 x Student Champion (Faculty of Technologies, Education and Social Sciences, TESS)
1 x Student Champion (Faculty of Health, Community and Life Sciences, HCLS)
1 x Student Champion (Business School Faculty, UBBS)

> 5 March 2026, 12:00 – Hustings (Meet the Candidates)

> 5 March 2026, 12:00 – Voting Opens
Voting for all positions opens and campaigning begins

> 13 March 2026, 12:00 – Voting Closes
Campaigning comes to an end and voting closes. The count begins shortly afterwards. 

> 18 March 2026, 12:00 – Results Announced
Once the votes are counted and verified, the winners are announced.
