When you join the University of Bedfordshire, you don't just join the University - you also become a member of Bedfordshire Students' Union (Beds SU)!

We are here to help every student get the most out of their university experience. We campaign on issues that you care about, as well as provide lots of opportunities for you to meet new people, develop your skills, campaign for change and try something new!

Advice

In order to make sure your voice is heard throughout the year we rely on student representatives.

We have elected student representatives for different communities within the University to make sure we represent everyone.

You can become a student leader for any of the communities you are a part of.

Beds SU has two fantastic venues available – The Metro in Luton and The Hub in Bedford. Both venues were recently refurbished in a modern, rustic style.

Join the University of Bedfordshire for an insightful evening as Chancellor, Sarfraz Manzoor, presents his inaugural lecture.

It will be 50 years to the day from when Sarfraz Manzoor arrived in Luton’s Bury Park from Pakistan to when he steps up to give his first lecture at the University of Bedfordshire, where he was appointed Chancellor last summer.

At a free-to-attend lecture at the University’s Luton campus – open to the public, as well as staff and students – Sarfraz will talk about his life growing up in the town, illustrated by photos of him and the town. He’ll discuss why he had to leave Luton and why he’s now its biggest fan.
