When you join the University of Bedfordshire, you don't just join the University - you also become a member of Bedfordshire Students' Union (Beds SU)!

We are here to help every student get the most out of their university experience. We campaign on issues that you care about, as well as provide lots of opportunities for you to meet new people, develop your skills, campaign for change and try something new!

Advice

In order to make sure your voice is heard throughout the year we rely on student representatives.

We have elected student representatives for different communities within the University to make sure we represent everyone.

You can become a student leader for any of the communities you are a part of.

Beds SU has two fantastic venues available – The Metro in Luton and The Hub in Bedford. Both venues were recently refurbished in a modern, rustic style.

As this term comes to a close we wanted to offer all our students the opportunity to enjoy some festive fun. Check out our events below.

It's been a busy term and everyone deserves the opportunity to enjoy some festivities.

We have put together a variety of events both daytime and evening that offer something for everyone and all events are FREE.

Highlights

By Day:

Friday 1 December sees our popular Green Fashion Show (case) return from 12 noon (Metro)
Thursday 7 - Winter coat giveaway from 12 noon in the Metro. The event will be hosted by the Nigerian society who have been collecting winter coats to ensure students in need can pick up a warm coat for the winter. (available until coats run out)
Thursday 7 -Parent/Carer Children's Christmas Party from 4pm (Metro) with games, crafting and a visit from Father Christmas!
Thursday 14 - Christingle event for all including children from 3pm (Metro)
Friday 15 - International Students Lunch from 3pm (Metro)

There will be Choc and Roll Bingo and festivities taking place across campuses from the 7 - 19 December starting with Milton Keynes, Bedford, London Bridge, Aylesbury and Luton. Check dates and times here.

By night:

The big Christmas parties will take place in Luton on Thursday 7 and Bedford on Thursday 13 December. Tinsel, baubles and your finest party outfits welcomed (but not essential)
Christmas film nights - Bedford Tuesday 5 and Luton Tuesday 11
Festive Karaoke - Thursday 7 Bedford and Wednesday 13 Luton - come and sign a long to your favourite songs including Christmas classics
