The conference brought together fellow officers and CEOs from 18 universities across the South of England and took place over a busy three days.

A wide range of topics were covered including;
- Cost of Living: What we’ve learned and future planning
- Making student finance more accessible
- SU sustainability made simple
- Preparing for elections
- Defining your SU’s political personality: Reflecting on the SU/University relationship
The last of these sessions was presented by our very own team to over 30 delegates and gave the opportunity to discuss how each institution works with their students and University.
Chidinma Akwada (Co-President (Self-identifying Woman)) said,
“The conference was a fantastic opportunity to see what other Unions are doing and share best practice from across the sector.
We were also delighted to be given the chance to present at the conference too. Our session was really well attended and it was fascinating to hear how other Unions engage with students and their Universities as a whole.
It was really great to lead the discussions and we certainly were able to take away some key points moving forward.”.
