Disabled students face multifaceted barriers in education. One of them is the structure of the Disabled Students Allowance. The process for accessing this support is slow, inaccessible and doesn’t ensure quality insurance.
In the short term, we need a drastic DSA reform. In the longer term, we want to see an education system where DSA is no longer necessary. An education system that is free, accessible, fully funded, and lifelong.
