Starting your university journey is exciting but it can also be a time of uncertainty and change. Our Co-Vice President Amina Awal has been looking at this issue and has come up with a solution she hopes will offer help and support to our students.
Amina says,
"Hello fellow students,
I’m Amina, one of the Co-Vice presidents of our school’s (UoB) students’ union. As part of my manifesto of introducing creative initiatives that embrace diversity and promotes inclusion, I’m here to introduce an exciting opportunity for you to contribute to the growth and improvement of our University community – the Buddy Program!
What is the Buddy Program?
The Buddy Program is designed to create a supportive network within our University, fostering connections between students.
Whether you're a new student seeking guidance on how to navigate school life (academic or extracurricular activities) or an experienced student eager to share your knowledge, this program aims to bridge the gap and make your university experience even more enriching.
How it can help you?
Your perspective and insights are valued, which is why, with the support of Beds SU team, I’ve created a survey to gather your thoughts on the Buddy Program.
Your input will directly influence the development of the program. Being part of it can open doors to meaningful friendships and connections with fellow students from diverse backgrounds.
In addition to being an important initiative, participating in it offers an enriching experience that can be included on your CV.
