Firstly, a massive thank you to all of our amazing student volunteers who have helped out on multiple occasions during the academic year. Your dedication to enhancing the university experience is amazing and we are very grateful!

About

Volunteers’ Week starts on the first Monday in June every year and is a time the nation recognises, celebrates and gives thanks to those who help create wonderful communities for people to be a part of. This year, Volunteers' Week started Monday the 3rd and runs through until the 9th, ending with 'The Big Help Out'.

"We at Beds SU would like to take a moment to really celebrate all the student volunteers! I had pleasure of training and working with our Welcome Volunteers who attended social events, fairs and helped with wayfinding (helping students find correct rooms and buildings) throughout Welcome week. 

Seeing current students devote their time to give back to new students, to better enhance their initial university experiences, is exactly the kind of positive examples of what being part of a Students' Union is all about."
