The Community Pantry is an emergency service that provides students access to food items. This is not intended for regular use but our advice team can provide further support if needed.
The service is free to students allowing them to access up to 10 items and we encourage students to check all allergen information on the items for their individual needs.
Go to the Treehouse on the Bedford Campus during opening hours for more details.
It will be closed from Friday 20 December and remain closed over the festive period but will reopen on Monday 6 January 2025.
Luton
The Luton Community Pantry will be closed from midday (12:00) Wednesday 18 December and reopen on Monday 6 January 2025.
If you require support with accessing food over our closing times, please see our Knowledge Hub articles that provides details of local food banks in the community here - Support Services Contact - Beds SU Helpdesk
Are you interested in getting a free meal or volunteering over the festive period? Foodcycle Luton is hosting their community meal initiative welcoming all to have a free meal. There is no need to book, just turn up! For more information please visit their website
Other Campuses
We are working hard to ensure all campuses have access to free food provision. So far, food packages have been delivered to London Bridge, Milton Keynes and Aylesbury.
To access this service, students attending London Bridge or Milton Keynes should contact their SID (Student Information Desk).
To access this service in Aylesbury students should go to the Staff Office.
We have food packages allocated for Birmingham Campus and are still arranging delivery. We will be completing this as soon as possible so watch this space for updates!
