We are a new society starting up in September 2024

The aim of the society will be to create a social environment which encourages people who enjoy playing/watching darts to come together and play once a week in a league format.

We also aim to provide a friendly environment for all abilities; Whether you've never picked a set of darts up before or whether you've been playing for years, we welcome everyone.

Why should I join?

We enjoy socialising and practicing in a relaxed atmosphere and simply turning up to one of our practice sessions is a great way to meet new people, have a throw and have a laugh.

Darts is also a cheap sport to play; especially at Beds SU, the membership is FREE! and for those who don't yet have a set of darts, our members are always happy to lend a spare set. Other than that, any travel would be the only other expenditure.

How do I keep up with what you have going on?

You will be able to view any posts or come and have a live chat with fellow members in our discord chat room (details coming soon)

I haven't played before, does this matter?

NO! Many students had never thrown a dart before coming to uni. So why not try something new? We love it! You can only ever improve at something you have never done before! 

Plus, there are no entry barriers to joining Beds SU Darts Society, so why should you not consider it? I mean, even if you do miss the board a few times, you might get a laugh out of one of your friends missing too!

Where and when do we play?

Once we get going, we will be running our sessions in the Hub, Bedford Campus, and once we have enough of us.... (with some practice), we aim to join and compete in the University Darts UK league (UDUK).

We will hold at least one weekly practice session, where members can try to improve their game or simply just chill with friends. Sign up for your FREE membership now and never miss out on a meet-up notification!

Do I have to play?

No, you can attend any of our socials, events, and practices without playing darts. It's a good reason to get out for an hour or two and we often have members who do this.

We are also planning to have plenty of social events going on all year round so you can simply attend one of these :)
