Please Note: In order to be eligible for these roles, you must have been a registered student at the University of Bedfordshire at the close of registration on 24 November 2023 AND on 7 March 2024 when voting closes.

Sabbatical Officer Roles

£23,218 annual salary | Full-Time | Offices on Luton and Bedford Campus 

The Sabbatical Officer positions are open to all University of Bedfordshire students, in any year of study. If elected, you will be required to take a year out from your studies. In return, you will have a unique chance to take on a full-time, paid role (£23,218 pa), right at the heart of Beds SU. 

The Sabbatical team play a critical role in gathering student feedback on the issues and ideas that matter to them, presenting them to leading figures within the University, including the VC, to push for change.

(1 self-identifying man/non-binary, 1 self-identifying woman)

> 27 Feb 2024, Bedford Hustings 12:30-13:30
A chance to hear from the candidates in person

> 5 March 2024 – Luton Hustings 15:00-16:00
A chance to hear from the candidates in person

> 7 March 2024, 4pm – Voting Closes
Campaigning comes to an end and voting closes. The count begins shortly afterwards. 

> 11 March 2024 – Results Announced
Once the votes are counted and verified, the winners are announced.
