Hybrid Learning - Lecture Recordings

petition submitted by Beds SU Admin on Nov 8, 2023.

petition Description

This petition was ratified by Union Parliament in April 2021. A copy of the proposal is attached here. This feed will be updated to demonstrate progress made in the next two years as well as any decision to renew, lapse, or review the policy from there onwards.

Passed

The petition has successfully passed! Click here to see the criteria needed for a petition to pass.

This will now be submitted to our Scrutiny Committee and Trustee Board for final ratification. This is to check that the idea is in line with our values and legal requirements. Assuming this is ratified, the Union now has to take this stance as an official policy and progress this cause for the next two years, with the final aim of making change happen for our students.

We will continue updating this forum to provide progress updates to interested students.

If you require further information or help at this point, please contact help@bedssu.co.uk.

petition Updates

  • This petition has been maintained as in-progress.

This petition has been maintained until 05/04/2025, where it will be reviewed.

  • This petition has been renewed

The Sabbatical Officer Team have discussed and reached the conclusion that UoB has committed to implement much of this policy already, however little is known at how consistent this is across campuses or how well-policed/monitored it is.

They have decided to maintain this policy for another two years to audit how expansive it is and adjust policy to lobby for recordings to be available for all classes and all students.
