After a hugely successful year in post it was time to say goodbye to your SU President, Seyi Lowo and four Part-time Faculty officers, Benedicta Ekwoh Mbum (UBBS), Ayesha Chowdhury (CATS), Cloe Morris (EES) and Loredana Ancutei (HSS).
All five have worked incredibly hard to champion the student voice over the last year and you can find out more about the Beds SU successes in our article.
Celebration event
We were delighted to hold a small celebration for them in the Metro, Luton Campus to thank them for their extremely hard work and dedication.
Speaking at the event, Beds SU CEO Mark McCormack said, ‘It’s been a very memorable year and Seyi and the officers have been outstanding. They have worked hard to represent the voice of students in all areas of the student experience! We are now excitedly looking forward to working with our new Student Committee, who will have a tough act to follow.’
In her farewell speech Seyi said, ‘It’s been a wonderful and eventful year and I was very grateful of the opportunity to represent you. I wish you all the very best in life.”
Trustees
The event also saw us say farewell to two of our Beds SU Trustees. Tania Struetzel and Beverley Hoare have been on the Board for five and three years respectively and been huge advocates of the work at Beds SU. We wish them every success in the future and thank them for their hard work on behalf of students at the University!
