Have an idea for your Academic Community? 

What would you do with £250?

You can apply for up to £250 to help organise an activity, event or project for your Academic Community. The grant can pay the full cost or subsidise part of it.

You do not need to have a complete plan before you apply.

You might have:

• an activity you would like to try;
  
• a problem you would like to solve;
  
• an idea but no budget;
  
• a possible venue but no confirmed price;
  
• interest from other students but no detailed plan; or
  
• simply the start of an idea.
  

Tell us what you know so far. A member of the team will contact you and help you work through the rest!

We can help with:

• developing your idea;
  
• working out what it might cost;
  
• finding venues or suppliers;
  
• making the activity inclusive and accessible;
  
• deciding how places should be offered;
  
• purchasing approved goods or services; and
  
• promoting the opportunity to your Academic Community.
  

There is no application deadline. Applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis while funding remains available. So don't miss out - apply now!

Larger awards may occasionally be considered, particularly for Academic Communities with a large student membership. If you think your idea may need more than £250, tell us why.

Please apply before buying anything or confirming a booking. If your application is approved, Beds SU will make the agreed purchases or payments on your behalf.

It does not matter if you only have half an idea. Start by telling us about it and we will help you with the rest.
